In the laboratory electrical activity (ion currents, gating currents, and action potentials) are measured. Experimental objects include immortalized cell lines, primary cell cultures, and acute tissue slices.

    Selected projects:

  • regulation of voltage-dependent ion channels by pharmacological substances and putative interacting proteins
  • structure-function relationship of voltage-dependent ion channels
  • regulation of neuronal excitability by endo- and exogenous factors
